As South East Queensland and Northern NSW prepare for the impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, we are closely monitoring the situation. We are taking proactive steps to ensure our hospital is prepared ahead of the system making landfall late Friday / early Saturday.
The safety of our patients and people is our top priority. If any alternative arrangements need to be made due to the cyclone over the coming days, patients will be contacted directly.
We also encourage visitors to prioritise their safety and request that they do not come to the hospital during the severe weather event, except if they are collecting a patient who is leaving the hospital.
Finally, please make sure you listen to the advice of the BOM and your local authorities to stay safe. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the impacts of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
